Objective
- Demonstrate implementation of DevOps principles (CI/CD, enhanced security) on GCP.
- Enable attendees to establish a DevOps pipeline for the migrated Sales and Inventory application.
- Facilitate understanding of managing application changes via source control, automated deployments, and fundamental GCP security concepts.
Key Hands-On Activities
CI/CD Pipeline Setup:
- Clone a provided GitHub repository with a pre-defined code change for the Sales and Inventory App.
- Configure Cloud Source Repositories, Cloud Build (and potentially Cloud Deploy or direct deployment from Cloud Build) to create a CI/CD pipeline.
- Automatically build and deploy the code change to their migrated application instance (GCE/GKE).
